Gail Brandenburg - 2000 Biography
We are still into team roping and still keep longhorn cattle at our house and beef cattle in Salinas. We also have 8 horses, 3 dogs and a cat. Steve is now a general superintendent of Cupertino Electric and I have opened a roping and tack supply shop here at our home called "Ropes-N-Stuff".
We as a couple have not done too much traveling. Steve and his parents have gone to Hong Kong twice and to Bali once and this year they went to Hawaii for two weeks. Now you are wondering why I didn't go. Well, maybe you're not, but I'm going to tell you anyway. I HATE FLYING!!! I did go to Gaylord in 98 and last year I went to South Dakota and bought another horse. That is the extent of my traveling other then going to Reno for western market or the national finals and Las Vegas with a friend from time to time. Oh, I did go to Hawaii about 4 years ago and that was my last flight.
The town of Hollister has grown in leaps and bounds since we moved here. It is now a bedroom community of San Jose and land is disappearing quickly. It hasn't gotten to us yet. It's been going in every other direction. So our little country neighborhood is still pretty quiet and I hope it stays that way, but you just never know.
